Some of the foremost makers are listed including Paul de Lamerie, the Batemans, Fordham & Falkner, etc. The most valuable item being an epergne by Thomas Powell, 1783 at £450. Widdowson & Veale were gold and silver manufactures and retailers in The Strand. Stafford Harry Northcote, Viscount St Cyres, the 2nd son of the Earl of Iddesleigh [1869 - 1926]. By repute this ledger came from Aspreys when they cleared out some of their records some years ago; they may have purchased all or part of the collection.
