Mills Souvenir de reconnaissance et d’affection M Bouquet.” Michel Bouquet [1807 - 1890] was a French landscape painter working predominantly on the Continent, North Africa and Asia Minor. This is a very fine series of lithographs by a master of light and shade, showing Scotland at all times of the day and in all weathers. It is considered the rarest nineteenth century illustrated work of Scotland. A companion volume to ‘The Tourist’s Ramble in the Highlands’; the same size and format. Locations at BL, NLS, V&A and Aberdeen University.
