The author was posted as garrison commander to this killa or fort, close to Kurram in Afghanistan in May 1870 and recounts the story of the supposed haunting of the tower which he made his own room. He was a Special Officer of the Kurram Valley Field Force and was posted there as Transport Staff Officer and Garrison Commander, the only white man in the fort. No locations traced. View more info
